EXODUS 14:14

Review this study and gather your own talking points. C) Address specific 'battles' that children/parents may face and how we can be prepared. (You may want to mention what a priest was and how we too are called priests in the NT.) |
DEUTERONOMY 6:5

C) What impact will loving God have (or should have) on the world around us? Discuss. |

WEEK 7:
A) You might want to start this week off by briefly explaining who Gideon was. Here is a good animated video to help. B) Where do we get our strength? Food, sleep, exercise, these all help. But our spiritual strength comes from God. God said He was sending Gideon, that's why he was strong. Discuss this connection (God & strength) further. C) How do we respond when God calls us? HERE is a video from Paul Tripp. |
RUTH 1:16
WEEK 8:
A) Discussion idea - There are only two books of the Bible named after women: Esther and Ruth. Ruth is also one of the few women who are mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus found in the book of Matthew. And this was in a time when women weren’t ordinarily included in genealogies. B) Here are some lessons you can share that we learn from the book of Ruth. C) Here is an overview video of the book of Ruth, by the Bible Project. |

B) Talk about the danger of disobedience. Here is a short clip from Ligonier Ministries that might help. C) Talk about what sacrifice looks like today. Here is a video called The Priority of the Altar. In the first part, I describe elements of the altar, then and now. |
