WHY MORNING ALTAR CLUB?
We Need to Rebuild the Altar
... the devil cannot ruin nations of men until he has destroyed the homes of prayer! That's why Satan hates the family altar.
Norman V. Williams
“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers,
to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.” (Acts 20:28)

WHAT TO EXPECT
Get Equipped
We partner with local families, youth leaders, and pastors (this might be you!) to equip their church family with Biblical tips and trusted advice on how to keep God at the center of their family, relationships, and career. It's a 1 to 3 day event (depending on host-church availability) designed together with the church leadership team to address real needs, for young adults and families, and talk about what it looks like to build an altar in this 21st Century pace of life. Together, we'll discover truth as we seek the face & heart of God!
1. HOW-TOSTUDY SESSIONS
Our favorite topic to speak about is the altar. During our time together, I'll share a structured teaching (see topics in FAQ section below) and provide resources to help everyone follow along.
|
2. BREAKTHROUGHTESTIMONIES & WORSHIP
In addition to teaching, we'll share personal testimonies, pray, and worship together. As we engage with one another, we'll see God's hand at work..."Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always." (1 Chronicles 16:11)
|
3. FOLLOW-THROUGHSTAYING CONNECTED
This is just the beginning. At the end of the workshop we'll make it a point to stay connected, provide additional resources, and put steps in place so we can keep encouraging each other to build a daily altar!

WHat costs are involved?
The costs involved are travel (flight or car), and lodging. If it is a local event, within 1 or 2 hour drive, I cover the cost of travel. Additionally, depending on the itinerary, the host church/group may also want to include food or a meal. We can discuss the details together during our planning.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PARTICIPATE?
This depends on the host church/group. We've been part of retreats with 40 people and conferences with 500+ people. We are willing to serve at both, although, we do prefer the more intimate settings. We can discuss the details during our planning session.
is the workshop held at a church?
It depends. The ideal setting would be a retreat style cabin/building, offsite. However, churches are a great place to host this workshop as well. The only space/facilities required are a place to gather during teaching & worship sessions (with audio/display resources), where people can sit/stand comfortably. Also, a place to chat or eat would be helpful as well, such as a large kitchen/dining area, cafeteria, etc. Additionally, you might want to consider having a place for breakout sessions and relaxing outdoors.
do you travel alone or with a group?
I prefer to travel with my family (wife and 2 boys), but our schedules don't always permit. Additionally, I have some ministry friends and partners who may be available to help with music/worship or teaching. Let's discuss the details during our planning session.
what does the host church/group need to prepare with?
Things to consider and plan for:
- Reserving a place to meet (church, cabin, house, etc.)
- Food (for those gathering at the workshop)
- Lodging (for all the participants and myself/my family and/or friends/ministry partners)
- Seating area (for teaching/gathering)
- Music (worship team)
- Point of contact (someone who is leading and who we can communicate with)
