WHY JOIN?

Growth happens together.

A lot of younger guys want to do life the right way but aren’t always sure what the next step is, and when you put them in the same room with men who’ve been there, everyone grows, kind of like Paul and Timothy. Welcome to MAC.

FAQ

What is Morning Altar Club?
Morning Altar Club (MAC) is a weekly online gathering for men to pray, open Scripture, and talk honestly about faith, relationships, work, and more. It’s practical, relational, and meant to fit real life. (Facilitated by Danny Kovacs, founder of Daily Altar ministry.)
WHO IS IT FOR?
Men of all ages and stages - single, married, dads, non-dads, grandfathers. If you want faith to connect to everyday life and decisions, you’ll fit right in. This is for believers AND non-believers; men who do not attend church but want to be part of a group where they can engage are welcomed. It's a safe place to learn about God, His Word, life, and so much more, from men who care.
WHEN DO YOU MEET?
Once a week on Friday mornings at 8:00 AM EST. Each call lasts about 30-40 minutes.
DO I HAVE TO TALK OR SHARE?
No (but would be good too). You’re free to listen, participate, or speak up when you’re ready. There’s no pressure to 'perform' or share more than you’re comfortable with. Come to listen and soak up lessons learned from other men, if that's where you're currently at.
IS THIS A BIBLE STUDY GROUP OR SERMON?
No. We read Scripture and pray, but this isn’t currently a lecture, teaching session, or study group. It’s conversation-based and focused on applying faith to real life, sharing experiences, and answering questions from a Biblical perspective.
WHAT KINDS OF TOPICS COME UP?
Very practical, real-life stuff; things men are actually navigating right now. Topics include:
  • Making career decisions (stay, leave, step up, change direction, etc.)
  • Handling work stress, burnout, or feeling stuck
  • Culture/Society/World events (in light of Scripture/Christian responsibility)
  • Raising kids in an evil world
  • Asking for a raise, setting boundaries at work, or leading people well
  • Sports, Working out, Cars, etc.
  • Managing money, debt, investments, and financial pressure
  • Educating your kids, homeschool vs. public, etc.
  • Dating with intention or navigating singleness faithfully
  • Strengthening marriage and communication
  • Being present at home when work is demanding
  • Leading your family spiritually without feeling awkward or fake
  • Dealing with temptation, habits, or private struggles
  • Making wise decisions when you’re unsure what God is asking of you
We don’t chase theories or trends, just honest conversation, shared wisdom, and Scripture applied to everyday decisions.
IS THIS TIED TO A SPECIFIC CHURCH OR DENOMINATION?
No. Morning Altar Club is Christ-centered and Bible-based, but not affiliated with a specific denomination. We encourage all members to be part of a local church. Our founder is an ordained minister. He is against 'rogue/standalone' ministries and is an active part of his local church in Naples, FL. Contact us to learn more or if you have additional questions.
CAN I TRY IT BEFORE COMMITTING? WHAT IF I MISS A WEEK?
Yes. You’re welcome to join and see if it’s a good fit. There’s no long-term obligation although we'd like everyone to be consistent. There will be some weeks when some members may not be able to join to due personal schedule, responsibilities, etc. If you miss a week, no problem. Life happens. Join when you can.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SIGN UP? (FORM ABOVE)
You’ll receive a welcome email with the Zoom link, meeting details, and reminders before each call.
IS THIS CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes, for the most part. What’s shared on the call stays on the call, if that is what is communicated or requested by a member or the host. Otherwise, there are topics/answers/perspective that is not secretive or confidential per se, and may benefit others if they hear it; an element of sharing is healthy. Overall: Respect and trust are essential to the group and we treat it as a covenant gathering.
HOW DO I JOIN?
Fill out the form on this page (above). You’ll receive the Zoom link and next steps by email.
